Catch Zone
Identify catching strengths and weaknesses using Catch Zone. ProFielder PRO records every Catching opportunity and identifies the Chance to body proximity allowing Coaches and Players to understand catching trends.
Understanding Catching trends allows focused and specific practice. The techniques required to execute a catch from low left to above right are vastly different and success rates differ from Player to Player.
Chance Interception Points
Chance Interception Points records the exact location the wicket taking opportunity was either converted or missed. This can differ from the original fielding position as Players may need to move in order to execute the Chance
Collecting Chance Interception Points offers an alternative view to fielding positions and allows trends in Opportunities to become visual.
Runs + / - (Ground Contact)
The major contributor to saving runs and conceding runs in the field is Ground Contact skills. The Dive, Slide and Tumble account for 80% of all runs saved and 54% of all runs conceded. A safe and efficient technique in all 3 disciplines is essential and allows Players total confidence in executing the skill. The ability to perform all Ground Contact skills is a must for the modern cricketer and should be encourage in the development of younger Players.
Hot Zones
Hot Zones are defined by the areas in the field that are statistically more important than others. ProFielder uses a ‘weighted formula’ taking into account, proportion of contacts, pressure statistics and wicket taking opportunities.
Hot Zones change throughout the various stages of the game along with bowling changes. Ensuring the right players are in the right positions at all times produces a more dynamic fielding performance.

Hit Rate
Hit Rate measures the success rate when throwing at the stumps (Shy’s) ProFielder records all attempts, regardless if the shy would have resulted in a Run Out. Hit Rate percentages vary from Team to Team and Competition to Competition. Standards for domestic Players is between 16-18%, International standards are higher at 18-20%. Considering Worlds Best Fielders hit the stumps 1/4 - 1/5 the skill is rated difficult and should be a consideration when Coaching Players.
